It is impossible not to fall in love with Costa Blanca; it is one of those places with a very special atmosphere, one of those places that relaxes you and gives you a state of well being. A very famous and popular destination on the Costa Blanca is Torrevieja, a seaside destination with a lot of sun and delicate beaches that will delight you.

Torrevieja is a wonderful place for a holiday, one of those holiday resorts in Spain that still keep their old air alive. In the beginning, it was just a small village (the old guard tower is one of its last proofs), but when it became an important centre for the salt industry, it grew very fast and it had a very flourishing period, so it was transformed into an important center for the economy of the province. The tourist sector experienced a boom in the past few years, so Torrevieja was soon transformed into a main attraction of its province; if you visit it today, you’ll realize the fact that a big percent of its population is represented by foreigners, as the resort is a very relaxing and picturesque where the life is peaceful and quiet.

Reaching Torrevieja is a very easy thing to do, as the N-323 road that passes through Santa Pola will lead you directly to the cozy resort. As you get nearer and nearer to Torrevieja, you will see the change in landscape: the salt lakes that surround it change it completely. You should enjoy the nice weather by going to the beach; all the beaches in Torrevieja are covered with delicate sands and bathed by crystal clear waters, so make sure that at least a few hours a day are spent there.
